July 15, 2018
Toyota Children’s Gallery, June – September, 2018
Come and explore how young minds take inspiration from the work of Henri Matisse. This summer, the Museum’s Toyota Children’s Gallery presents a juried selection of work created by elementary students of Long Beach. Each work of art portrays the individual student’s unique and creative approach to interpreting the visual style and techniques of one of the most significant 20 th century artists. Presented alongside the students’ exhibition, there is an interactive space for visitors of all ages to showcase how they have been inspired by Matisse.
