Old Bags & Baubles Fundraiser To Be Held On June 7
Long Beach, CA – On Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Long Beach Museum of Art, together with its fundraising affiliate Phoenix, will host its Old Bags and Baubles Luncheon. Proceeds from this premier event supports the Museum’s annual exhibition and related educational programming. Tickets for the event are $85 per person.
This special fundraising event offers guests the opportunity to bid on a wide selection of luxury designer handbags, unique baubles, designer scarfs and accessories. In addition to the silent auction, this lavish afternoon will feature a delightful luncheon held on the Museum’s beautifully landscaped oceanfront lawn with champagne cocktails and mimosas. Complimentary admission to the galleries is also included, which features the current exhibitions Baroque Sensibilities: Sherrie Wolf and Enriching and Engaging: Selected Recent Acquisitions.
The opening bids for these new and gently loved designer bags will range from $100 – $250, which is a fraction of the bags value. Guest can also purchase opportunity drawing tickets for a chance to win fabulous prizes including a $1,000 shopping spree, and an iPad with designer cover. Opportunity drawing tickets, which start at $10, will be available to pick-up during check-in on the day of the event. Admission tickets and opportunity drawing ticket packages can be purchased now via the Museum’s website at lbma.org. Admission tickets and opportunity drawing tickets are non-refundable.
