Reimagining Angus: Mixed Media Drawing

As an adolescent, American artist Patrick Angus (b. 1953 - d. 1992) observed and learned about the work of Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Richard Diebenkorn and David Hockney. His mark making often appears to pay homage to these influential artists before him - his oeuvre an array of portraits and landscapes in varied styles and media. Participants of Reimagining Angus: Mixed Media Drawing will use pencils, colored pencils and crayon to create portraits based on Angus's works currently on exhibit in the Hartman Pavilion.
