As an adolescent, American artist Patrick Angus (b. 1953 - d. 1992) observed and learned about the work of Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Richard Diebenkorn and David Hockney. His mark making often appears to pay homage to these influential artists before him - his oeuvre an array of portraits and landscapes in varied styles and media. Participants of Reimagining Angus: Mixed Media Drawing will use pencils, colored pencils and crayon to create portraits based on Angus's works currently on exhibit in the Hartman Pavilion. All levels welcome. Reservation is required. Tickets for Non Museum Members here. Museum Members, please reserve your spot by emailing the Education Department directly.
