LBMAx - Practice and Pedagogy

Arguably there is no place where art practice and pedagogy are as inextricably linked as in California. Art schools here have played a pivotal role in the history of modern and contemporary art, functioning as hotbeds for new ideas and experimentation. Practice and Pedagogy features a selection of work by the full-time studio art faculty in the Visual and Media Arts Department at Long Beach City College (LBCC). This exhibition aims to provide insight into the diverse studio practices of the LBCC faculty and the ideas that drive their work as both artists and educators.
