Opening Weekend: ACTION: Art & Activism
11 AM - 5 PM
February 4, 2023
Each year, the Long Beach Museum of Art juried high school exhibition invites Long Beach Unified School District students to submit works pertaining to a theme. This year, students were asked to consider how art is used to share new perspectives, challenge the status quo, speak out against injustices, and inspire others to take action. From women’s rights to environmental activism and racial justice, the breadth of students’ calls for change underlines this generation’s collective pursuit of an equitable future.
