Paper Sculptures

Inspired by one of our popular outdoor sculptures, this workshop introduces
families to abstract sculpture. Claire Falkenstein was interested in the
behavior of the materials that she would work with. By twisting and weaving
her materials, Falkenstein was able to create dynamic abstract sculptures that
were not only appealing to the eye, but structurally mysterious as well.
Families, in this workshop will be rolling various paper materials into tubes
and take into consideration factors such as scale and texture to create
abstract structures.
