Repoussé Prints

December 18, 2014,

March 17, 2013 -

Repoussé is a metalworking technique in which a flexible metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief, or raised above the background. In this workshop, families will use this technique on aluminum foil to create prints inspired by Jim Dine’s “tools” theme. Families will also learn how elements of art such as texture, line, and shape play a role in printmaking.
