The Museum's permanent collection has a substantial number of landscape paintings from which this exhibition, The View from Here: Landscape Paintings from the Collection of the Long Beach Museum of Art, has been drawn. With only a couple of exceptions, these artworks are by artists who live or lived in California and were inspired by the natural beauty of the State. The earliest paintings in this exhibition are dated 1919 and the most recent was painted in 2013, spanning almost 100 years of California history and art.
